The Office of the Executive Chairman provides executive leadership for the administration of Akassa Local Government Area through transparent governance, institutional development, strategic planning, community engagement and sustainable development initiatives.

Under the leadership of Ambassador Hunter Halder, the Office is committed to promoting good governance, strengthening public institutions, encouraging investment, improving public services and building lasting partnerships with national and international stakeholders.

About the Executive Chairman

Ambassador Hunter Halder serves as the Executive Chairman of Akassa Local Government Area, providing strategic executive leadership and direction for local governance, public administration, sustainable development and community advancement.

The Office works closely with Federal Government institutions, Bayelsa State Government, traditional institutions, development partners, civil society organizations, the Nigerian diaspora, humanitarian agencies and international organizations to improve the quality of life of the people of Akassa Local Government Area.
